Coach, The veteran GPS coach had seven runners finish in the top 30 at the Division II-AA state meet, helping the Bruisers finish state runners-up. Four of those finishers were underclassmen, giving the Bruisers a bright future, including two who were among the top 15. "What I'm most proud of is that collectively we had our best race in our last race," Gaither said. "We wanted to prove we were the best Chattanooga-area team, and we accomplished that because the girls executed the plan to perfection. That was our focus from the very beginning, and the girls fought through some illness near the end of the season and bounced back to run strong."
