Senior-He was part of the Blue Tornado's 4xSophmore0 relay team that repeated as state champions and also qualified for the D-II state meet in the Sophmore0 meters and 200 meters.

Coach-Coach-In his 27th season with the program, Wood helped the Blue Tornado win the prestigious Fort Payne meet and finish second in the Mid-South Meet as well as a head-to-head win over rival Baylor. Mccallie had 14 athletes qualify for the Division II state meet with shot putter Trel Phillips winning an individual state championship and the 4xSophmore0 relay team defending its state title as well. "You can't have success in any sport without a great staff and we have wonderful assistants who do great work and make my job much easier," Wood said. "Our success was because of those guys and the talent and hard work of our athletes."
